Walter Otis Allen, 84, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Born on August 30, 1940, in Hogansville, Georgia, Walter was the son of the late Young Jackson “Jack” Allen and Lena Elizabeth Yearta Allen.

Renowned for his remarkable work ethic, Walter was a versatile worker who mastered numerous skills throughout his career. He began as a machine operator at Bonnell Aluminum, later served as a butcher at Handy Market, and eventually settled into a long-standing position at Southwire’s Copper Division. There, he excelled as a forklift mechanic until his retirement, earning the nickname “Jack of All Trades” for his diverse abilities and dedication.
