Theresa Ahlborn, aged 92, of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025.

Theresa was born in Cohoes, New York, to parents James L. and Sarah A. Maloney Fitzgerald. She was a proud graduate of Cohoes High School’s class of 1951 and cherished wife to the late Raymond E. Fitch, Sr., and subsequently to the late Fred Karl Ahlborn.

Her professional life included a commendable 29 and a half years at the New York State Office of General Services in Albany, where she served with distinction as a Senior Typist until her retirement in 1995.

Beyond her professional achievements, Theresa was deeply involved in her community and faith. She was a recipient of a Papal Blessing and an enthusiastic participant in various diocesan activities, including Formation for Ministry, Marriage Encounter, Pre-Cana, and the Cursillo Movement. She also held positions on the Parish Councils of both St. George’s Church in Pittstown and Our Lady Of Victory Church in Troy. At the time of her passing, she was a devoted communicant at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, contributing as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

Theresa’s passion for travel took her to Ireland, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and across the United States in her motor home. She also dedicated time to the Pittstown Volunteer Emergency Corps, further demonstrating her commitment to service and community.
