Lebanon, NH – Steven C. Ackerman, aged 70 and a long-established resident of Lebanon, died peacefully on the morning of Friday, February 28th, 2025, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon. Born on January 3, 1955, in Paterson, NJ, he was the child of Franklin “Pete” and Wanda (Smith) Ackerman. Steven completed his education in New Jersey, graduating from High Point Regional High School in 1973. His family relocated to Vermont after his father took over the Rutland County Roto Rooter franchise. Initially working alongside his father, Steven heeded his advice and in 1979 acquired the Roto Rooter franchises for Windsor County, Vermont, and Grantham County, New Hampshire. He ran these franchises with pride and dedication until retiring in August 2023.
