Shirley L. Adcock, aged 94, of Decatur, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Born on February 13, 1931, in East Moline, Illinois, Shirley was the daughter of Thomas and Winnifred (Wiley) O’Dell. She dedicated twenty years of her career to Hicks Gas before retiring. A devout member of Riverside Baptist Church, Shirley also had a passion for travel. Her contributions to the sport of bowling were recognized with the prestigious Spotlight Award from the Decatur Bowling Hall of Fame. Shirley’s life was enriched by her marriage to Don Adcock on June 18, 1949, who predeceased her on July 5, 1997.
