About
Robert Ormond Brooke Anderson, affectionately known as “Bob” or “Bobby” by friends and family, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 88. He was a cherished community figure, born in Spokane on March 24, 1936, to Dr. Charles and Helen Anderson. Bob was raised in Spokane’s South Hill area, where he grew up with his siblings Joanne, Jim, and John. He was educated at Wilson Elementary and Lewis Clark High School before pursuing a degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Bob’s pride in his alma mater was evident in his enthusiastic support of the Huskies, especially during the Apple Cup, which he celebrated with gusto almost every year.
Bob’s professional journey began after he graduated from UW, starting as a traveling salesman for PET Milk. It was during these travels that he met his beloved wife, Marianne Bussanich, a native of Tacoma. The couple married and settled down in Spokane, where they raised three children. Together, they embarked on numerous adventures, notably to their favorite destinations, Puerto Vallarta and Austria. Bob’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his business ventures, and his passion for exploring the world.
