Verona, WI – Born on June 4, 1956, in Fargo, North Dakota, Paul William Aas was the son of Beverly and Lynn Aas. He completed his high school education in Minot, North Dakota, graduating in 1974. After high school, Paul pursued higher education at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, where he earned a degree in computer programming. He embarked on a career in computer programming, taking positions with various companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and eventually joined Electric Data Systems (EDS). His educational journey continued at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he obtained a law degree.

Paul’s personal life included a marriage to Dorothy Pilju, with whom he had a son named Brian. The marriage ended in divorce, and Paul subsequently relocated to Madison, Wisconsin, where he continued his career with EDS. It was at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison that Paul met Melodie Stranberg, a fellow choir member. The couple married in 2005 and enjoyed a loving marriage. Paul also participated in the Bethel Handbell Choir, directed by Melodie, performing together for several years until his passing.
