Patricia Mae Adsit, aged 86, passed away on February 13, 2025. Born on July 24, 1938, to Mary Mae Wamsley and Gaylord Dewitt Adsit, Patricia faced early tragedy with the death of her mother on the day of her birth. Raised by her father and her stepmother, Rebecca Halsey Adsit, she grew up nurtured and loved. Patricia completed her education with distinction, graduating from Milford Township High School in 1956, followed by Stephens College in 1958, and earning a degree from Michigan State University in 1960. She dedicated her career to teaching in the Fort Wayne Community Schools, touching lives at Forest Park, Glenwood Park, Arlington Park, and Weisser Park elementary schools from 1960 until her retirement in 1989. Patricia cherished her students and considered them one of her life’s greatest blessings.
