London, Canada – Michael Mooser, a cherished resident of London and formerly of West Lorne, passed away in the comfort of his home, encircled by his devoted family, on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the age of 84. He was the beloved best friend and spouse of Helen (Webster) Mooser for over six decades. Loving father to Amy Schneider (Bill) and Andrew Mooser (Sue), and treasured Papa to Lauren and Matthew. Michael was a dear brother to Andy Mooser (Sharon), John Mooser (the late Evelyn), Walter Mooser, and Henry Mooser (Ruth). He was also a special cousin to Sandy and Stephen Imrie, and Linda and Scott Dunn. Michael will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Mary Taylor (the late George), and Linda Russell (John Bishop), along with numerous nieces and nephews. His fur grand-puppies, Abigail and Maggie, will also deeply miss their Papa.
Born on October 5, 1940, in Birk, Romania, Michael was the oldest son of the late Michael and Katherina Mooser. He retired from London Hydro and was an active member of the West Elgin Legion Branch #222 and the Moose Lodge on Anna Maria Island.
Michael will be lying in repose at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas for visitation on Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m. A funeral service is scheduled at Central United Church, 135 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Saturday, February 8th, at 1 p.m., preceded by an hour of visitation at the church from 12 to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Elmdale Cemetery.
