We are deeply saddened to share the news of the untimely death of our cherished Carmen, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carmen tragically left us on February 6, 2025, in Pocatello, ID, due to injuries from a car accident. Known for her incredible kindness, love, generosity, and strength, her absence will be profoundly felt by everyone who knew her.

Carmen was born on January 13, 1951, in El Zapotillo, Jalisco, Mexico, to Juana and Leonides Nunez. She grew up in a close-knit family with three brothers and two sisters, later joined by another younger brother. Her early years were deeply rooted in the Catholic faith of her family, and she maintained a strong bond with her parents, particularly her mother, throughout her life. Carmen attended a one-room schoolhouse in her small ranching community and went on to study at a seamstress school, where she honed her natural talent for sewing. She excelled in creating and altering garments, a skill she cherished throughout her life. Carmen’s favorite professional experience was working at a local fabric store, where she delighted in the arrival of new materials for her next creative endeavor. Her joy in sewing extended to making clothes for her children, a testament to her enduring love and care.
