Margaret Louise Southern Albert, aged 91, from Pulaski, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at New River Valley Medical Center. Born on March 28, 1933, in Hiwassee, Margaret was the daughter of Otto Southern and Gertrude Sutphin Clark, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Albert; her children’s father, Joseph Covey; her sister, Sally Maddy; and her stepdaughter, Vanessa Albert.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Ricky Covey and his wife Sherry of Pulaski, and Debra Craig and her husband Bobby, also of Pulaski. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Dexter Albert and Kenneth Eugene Albert, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kayla Williams, Brittany Dawson, and Aron Hardee; along with numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Her great-grandson, Carter Williams, will also hold her memory dear. Margaret’s sister, Rebecca Southern Graham, and her husband Lee from Hartsville, SC, continue her legacy.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Max Creek Baptist Church, where Pastor Mike Coleman will officiate. Margaret will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, following the service.
