Karen Adams, aged 60 and a resident of Athens, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Throughout her life, Karen dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home alongside her brother. She was born to the late Thomas Floyd Adams, Jr. and Audrey (Freeman) Adams. Karen was also predeceased by her brother, Hulin Adams, and her sisters, Helen Guthrie and Gloria Jean Morrison. Her legacy continues through her surviving family members: brothers Lyndall Adams of Athens, GA, Terry Adams of SC, Jerry Adams of Milledgeville, GA; sisters Betty Tharp of Monroe, GA, Mary Lou Graham of Reidsville, GA, Annie Adams of Gainesville, GA, Linda Barbee of Norwood, NC; and former husband, Doug Guthrie of Loganville, GA. Karen leaves behind a multitude of cherished nieces, nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
