We regret to inform you of the loss of Julienne (Jill) Marie Alakorpi, who passed away on February 12, 2025. Julienne died peacefully at her residence, encircled by her loving family, after courageously battling pancreatic cancer for nine months.

Born on May 9, 1963, in Atikokan, Ontario, Jill was the cherished daughter of Phillip and Marlene Jarvis and the fourth child among seven siblings. A devoted wife to her late husband, Tap, and a nurturing mother to her son, Ari, Jill’s love and warmth touched all who knew her.

Jill’s early years were spent in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where she completed her schooling at Westgate High School. She pursued higher education at Lakehead University, earning a degree in Marketing. In 1986, she met Tap, her future husband and soulmate. The couple tied the knot in 1990 and relocated to Mississauga to start their life together, welcoming their son Ari in 2001.
