Johnny R. Adams, aged 85, a lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away at his home on February 25, 2025, surrounded by the comfort of his family.

A funeral service to honor his life will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Franklin Methodist Church. Reverend Lynn Peters will conduct the service. Following the service, Johnny will be laid to rest at the Franklin City Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled at Stutts Funeral Home on the preceding Friday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Born on December 10, 1939, in Franklin, Georgia, to Bill and Camella (Eady) Adams, Johnny was a standout athlete at Heard County High School, graduating in 1958. Although he earned a basketball scholarship to Southern Union College, financial difficulties prevented him from attending. He married his high school sweetheart, Jane Rogers, on September 9, 1962. Together, they raised two children, Jimmy and Cynthia, and enjoyed a long and loving marriage.
