John Glennon Adams, DVM, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 85, returning to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A 1970 alumnus of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Adams devoted much of his career to animal care through his ownership of Jamestown Veterinary Clinic and Spanish Lake Animal Hospital, from 1976 until his retirement in 2018. Before embarking on his veterinary journey, he graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1957 and studied at Harris Teacher’s College for two years. He then completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation and Zoology at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
