Janet Mae (Liebenow) Mazur Filpi, aged 87, from The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, joining her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in Cummington, Massachusetts on February 17, 1937, she was the daughter of Roscoe William Liebenow and Evelyn Adele (Pratt) Liebenow Gould. Janet was a proud graduate of Pittsfield High School and pursued further education at the Gemology Institute of California.

Janet’s professional life was intertwined with her late husband, Vincent Filpi, as they managed Borgo’s Bakery, Filpi Rare Coin Company, and their portfolio of real estate properties until his passing in 1992.

A devout member of Faith Lutheran Church throughout her life, Janet also advocated for a healthy lifestyle, participating in OA and promoting a diet free from sugar and wheat, well ahead of her time. She was engaged to Richard Mosher in 1998, whom she dearly lost to cancer in 2015.

Her hobbies included roller skating, motorcycling, target shooting, dancing, and designing fashion. Janet was also skilled in sewing and crocheting. Known for her love of walking, she walked several miles daily and had a deep affection for animals, always having a dog by her side.
