Gary R. Adamski, a longtime resident of Antigo, passed away on February 13, 2025 at his residence, in the loving presence of his family. He was 79. Born on March 30, 1945 in Antigo, he was the son of Robert and Fern (Meisenhelder) Adamski. On September 19, 1972, he wed Judy Bauknecht at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.

A proud alumnus of Antigo High School, Gary served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he returned to Antigo, where he worked with the Department of Natural Resources as a trapper and dredger. He later joined Amron, and then Duffek Sand and Gravel.

An avid outdoorsman, Gary cherished his time hunting, fishing, and trapping alongside his sons. He had a particular fondness for camping and fishing at Lake Gogebic in Michigan, where he created countless cherished memories.
