About
EAST LIVERPOOL – It is with deep sadness we announce that Freda G. Adkins, aged 91, from East Liverpool, has passed away. She died on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Calcutta Health Care Center.
Born in Yolyn, West Virginia on March 14, 1933, Freda was the beloved daughter of Bernie and Delphia (Ferrell) Adkins. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to homemaking and also contributed her skills to the Ross Nursing Home. Freda was deeply involved in her religious community; she was a long-time member of the now-closed Etruria Street Church of God for 25 years and more recently, a member of Boyce Church. There, she took on the role of secretary for the Homebuilders Group.
Freda’s hobbies included word search puzzles, watching classic game shows—with “Match Game” being her favorite—and enjoying traditional home activities such as canning, sewing, quilting, and gardening.
Freda was predeceased by her husband Conward Adkins, whom she married on July 28, 1954, her sister Delores Adkins, and her brothers Ralph D. Adkins, Harold Adkins, Eugene Adkins, Donald Adkins, Robert Adkins, Kenneth Adkins, and James Adkins. Her life was a testament to her loving nature and enduring spirit.
