Frank Cornelius Adams, Jr., aged 79, of Murphy, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, following an 11-year struggle with cancer. During his final 15 months, he was compassionately cared for by Four Seasons Hospice. His devoted wife of 34 years, Rowena Bryson Adams, remained steadfastly by his side throughout his illness, serving as his primary caregiver until his last moments. Frank’s enduring spirit and faith in the LORD as his protector and guide were evident throughout his courageous fight.

Born on June 18, 1945, in New York on Long Island, Frank was the sole child of the late Frank Cornelius Adams, Sr. and Pearl Wilson Adams. As an infant, his parents decided to relocate from New York to Bear Creek, West Virginia, to be closer to his mother’s relatives. There, Frank’s early years were filled with adventures in the local ridges and creeks, where he developed a lifelong love for nature. The family eventually settled in Fort Myers, Florida, where Frank completed his education through high school, marking the beginning of a lifetime of fond memories and achievements.
