Flora Alfoldy, aged 92, from Buckner, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare in Mt Vernon. Born on August 6, 1932, in Buckner, Illinois, she was the daughter of Alex and Lena (Miller) Alfoldy. She leaves behind her siblings Sister Janice Alfoldy of Buckner, Alex “Buddy” (Chris) Alfoldy of Pinole, CA, and Eugene “Skip” (Diane) Alfoldy of San Diego, CA, along with numerous other family members. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters—Elsie Lake, Helen Alfoldy, Margaret Murphy—and her brother John Alfoldy. In accordance with her wishes, Flora was cremated and a Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
