About
Duane Clifford Adams, 64, formerly of Minong, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at his beloved cabin.
Born on October 3, 1960, in Salem, Indiana, Duane grew up in Spooner, Wisconsin. He was a proud graduate of Spooner High School, class of 1979. Post-graduation, Duane dedicated over a decade of his life to the U.S. Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge for his commendable service.
Post-military, Duane ventured into the hydraulics industry in Wichita, Kansas, where he eventually established his own company, Duane’s Hydraulics. After running his business for five years, Duane transitioned to a new chapter in St. Cloud, Minnesota, driving trucks for McFarland Trucking. His final professional move was to Minong, Wisconsin, to join his brother at Lloyd Adams Trucking.
An avid outdoorsman, Duane cherished the years spent hunting and fishing with friends at his cabin. One of his most cherished adventures was a dream-come-true road trip to Alaska. Above all, Duane’s proudest achievements were his three children, and later, the joy of being a grandfather surpassed even that. He delighted in passing on his favorite “bad habits” to his grandchildren, always with a twinkle in his eye.
Duane’s legacy of love, adventure, and family will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
