Doris Allerding passed away on March 5, 2025, in Hastings, Michigan. Born on August 1, 1932, in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of John McCartney and Pearl Marie (Massey) Parker. Doris’s early career was at Michigan Bell as a telephone operator from 1949 until 1953. A proud alumna of Sault Ste Marie High School’s class of 1951, she later joined Brown’s Custom Interior in Hastings, where she worked from 1969 until 1978. Subsequently, she was employed at Flexfab until her retirement in 1993.

Doris married Vern Allerding on November 3, 1951, and together they enjoyed a loving and enduring marriage of 68 years until Vern’s death in 2019.
