It is with deep sadness and sorrowful tears that we share the news of the departure of Deborah Kaye Abney from this life on February 5th, 2025, in Wicomico Shores, MD. She was a cherished friend and family member, held dear in the hearts of many.

Born on July 20th, 1948, in Bremerhaven, Germany, Deborah, known affectionately as Deb, was the daughter of Ivon and Ruby Jewel (DeVasier) Abney. The family relocated to California in the early 1950s, where Deb grew up. Alongside her twin sister, Norma, Deb began her career at the Naval Weapons Station in Concord, CA, at the tender age of 16. She dedicated many years of service there before transferring to Maryland to take on the role of Program Manager. Deb concluded her distinguished career upon retiring from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD.
