Barbara Armstrong, a cherished resident of Petersham, MA, passed away at the age of 81 on January 31st following a brief illness. She lived a full life at her home at 53 Shaw Road.

Born on June 28, 1943, in New Hampshire, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Arthur and Helen (Morton) Bowers. After graduating high school in 1961, she furthered her education at Burdett College, earning a degree in Business Administration. Barbara dedicated over two decades to the Highlands Nursing Home in Fitchburg, retiring in 2013 after a rewarding career.

In 1963, Barbara married David Armstrong Sr., and their union was blessed with two sons, David Jr. and Derek. She also had a daughter, Darlene, whom David adopted from her previous marriage. The couple parted ways in 1979.

Barbara’s life was marked by her devotion to her family and her passion for her career, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
