Allen L. Armstrong, aged 72, of Bethesda, passed away on February 2, 2025. Born on March 23, 1952, he dedicated many years as a machine operator at Arkansas Lime. Allen found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending playful times with his grandchildren, always putting his family first.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Joyce Armstrong; his mother, Pauline Armstrong; his son, Allen Armstrong Jr.; and his daughters, Ashley Birch (married to Richard) and Meranda Gosch (married to DJ). He is also survived by his sisters, Connie Evans (Bill), Ivon Burns (JR), Debbie Swaims (Chris), and Christ Foster (Leonard); along with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. A celebration of Allen’s life will be scheduled at a future date.
He had a vibrant love for life and his family. Known for his humor, he was the life of any gathering, bringing joy with his jokes. Allen was a frequent player at poker games, loved the thrill of slot machines, and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas to embrace his zestful persona. He was deeply caring, always ready to listen and share his insights, cherishing every moment with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren. Allen’s warmth and wisdom will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Survived by his sister, Debbie Khorrami; his daughter, Leslie Lees; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Heiges, Brandon Davis, and Brittany Davis, along with his great-grandchildren Nevaeh Askew, Kae-Von Askew, Olivia Swab, Evan Davis, and Charlotte Heiges. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Jack; his son, Rick Davis; and numerous friends and family members. His presence will be deeply missed.
